Marc Leishman went wire-to-wire to win the BMW Championship setting a tournament record at 23-under 261. He was in control for the entire tournament and never looked fazed. And I picked him! At $7,700. What a steal. Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler were finished T-2. And what do you know? I picked Justin Rose. If you read my article and went with Leishman and Rose you definitely cashed.
The golf season is down to its FINAL tournament. I will be providing you my DraftKings PGA DFS lineup picks for the TOUR Championship. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.
If anyone has lineup questions before the start of the tournament Thursday morning, feel free to contact me via Twitter @Seth_Fink.
TOUR Championship
The FINAL 30 players in the FedEx Cup Standings will compete at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA. The course plays to a 7,385-yard, par-70. The finishing hole is a par-5. Since there are 30 players, there will be no cut. Rory McIlroy is the defending champion.
I will also not be looking at stats this last week because now it comes down to pure skill. The winner of this tournament is in the top-5 in the FedEx Cup standings heading into this final weekend.
If any of these five players in this week, they will be crowned FedEx Cup Champion will receive $10 million and the other top-5 finisher will win at least $1 million. Here are the players: Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Marc Leishman, and Jon Rahm.
Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)
High-Cost Players
Justin Thomas ($9,900)
Thomas is a steal. I think he's winning this tournament, taking home Player of the Year, and claiming the $10 million grand prize. It shocks me that he's the fifth-highest priced player. He placed T-47 last year, but he won the PGA Championship after a string of bad starts. He finished sixth last year in his first time playing the course.
Justin Rose ($8,900)
I picked him last week and he came through in the clutch. In his last four starts here, Rosey hasn't finished outside the top-6, and has two runner-up finishes.
Middle-Cost Players
Marc Leishman ($8,400)
After a runaway win, his price went up by $700. Nice. If he wins, he's the FedEx Cup champion. I like picking the players who control their own destiny. His only time playing here was in 2009 where he finished T-28.
Matt Kuchar ($7,700)
Obviously I was going to go with him. I've went with him the last several weeks now and he hasn't let me down. This will be his eight time competing at Eat Lake where he only has two top-10's, but he's been on fire this season so I expect another good outing.
Webb Simpson ($7,500)
Webb is on a good run of late; three top-10's in his last four starts. He also has a good track record at East Lake with two top-5's in his past four times competing.
Low-Cost Players
Xander Schauffele ($6,800)
The probable Rookie of the Year has had a stellar season from a T-5 at the U.S. Open where he made himself known to then winning the Greenbrier Classic. I think he'll be low-owned this week, which makes him a good flier.
Jason Dufner ($6,500)
Nothing fazes the DufMan. The last two times Dufner has competed at East Lake, 2013 and 2016, he's finished in the top-10.
That does it for my golf column this season. We'll be back in a couple months when golf season starts up again. Thanks for reading and best of luck!
