Ryan Tannehill Expected To Be Starter In 2018
7 years agoMiami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase said he sees quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee) "as our starting quarterback" for the 2018 season. This was expected all along, which is why the Dolphins signed Jay Cutler to a one-year deal when Tannehill blew his knee out in the preseason. Tannehill saw his numbers decline in terms of overall yardage and touchdowns in 2016, but he was much more efficient with a career-high 67.1 completion percentage under Gase. The Miami offense will be in better hands under Tannehill rather than turnover- and injury-prone Cutler, but Tannehill projects more as a QB2 next year for fantasy owners.
