Pirates More Willing To Trade Andrew McCutchen?
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates general manager Neal Huntington may be more receptive to trade offers for outfielder Andrew McCutchen after the team traded starting pitcher Gerrit Cole to the Astros on Saturday, according to teams that have spoken with the Pirates. The Giants remain the team most interested in trading for McCutchen as they look to boost their outfield. The 31-year-old McCutchen had a terrible start to the 2017 season but bounced back and finished strong with a .278 average, 28 home runs and 88 RBI in 156 games. Injuries and a lack of speed as he ages are a concern, but McCutchen is still a valuable fantasy outfielder. A move to San Fran is unlikely to drastically affect his fantasy value.
