Titans, Mike Mularkey Agree To Part Ways
7 years agoThe Tennessee Titans and head coach Mike Mularkey have agreed to part ways, according to a league source. This seems odd after the Titans reportedly were offering Mularkey a contract extension after the Titans pulled off a surprise comeback upset of the Chiefs in the Wild-Card round. However, Mularkey's decisions on offense during the season were heavily questioned, and quarterback Marcus Mariota took a big step back in his development. With plenty of options on the offensive side of the ball and a strong offensive line, the Titans head coaching position will be coveted by those left on the coaching market, and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels could be a lead candidate.
