7 years agoGordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that new Chicago Cubs hitting coach Chili Davis has been working weekly with Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward in Arizona since November. Davis is known for his line-drive approach with hitters and the hope is that he can help Heyward get back to his old ways. Davis mentions how Heyward has changed his approach throughout his career, and that could have had an effect on his current struggles. Heading into 2018, Heyward can be avoided in shallow leagues unless you want to take a chance with him very late in your draft.
