Rex Burkhead Set To Play Sunday Against Jaguars
7 years agoNew England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead (knee) is expected to play this Sunday against the Jaguars, per CBSSports.com. Burkhead has not played since Dec. 17, as he is dealing with a knee sprain. He was proving to be the perfect complement to starter Dion Lewis with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He had become a red-zone threat, scoring seven total touchdowns over his last six games played. His return to the Patriots offense simply gives them one more weapon that the Jaguars have to keep an eye on. The Jaguars did allow a receiving touchdown to the Steelers' Le'Veon Bell last week, but they gave up only three receiving touchdowns to running backs during the regular season. Burkhead is not worth the roll of the dice in fantasy, even though he could steal some red-zone looks from Lewis if he plays.
