Jarvis Landry Won't Give Dolphins Hometown Discount
7 years agoMiami Dolphins impending free-agent wide receiver Jarvis Landry's agent, Damarius Bilbo, said his client will not give a hometown discount to the Dolphins in free agency. “It’s always going to be here. Take a discount? Absolutely not. This may be Jarvis’ first and last time to set himself up and his family up. He needs to strike and strike while the iron is hot," Bilbo said. Landry is hoping to match what the Packers gave receiver Davante Adams -- a deal that pays him $14.5 million per year. Miami could hit Landry with the franchise or transition tag for 2018, too. Landry had career highs in receptions (112) and touchdowns (nine) while racking up 987 yards in 16 games in 2017. He's played in every game in his four seasons and has caught at least 84 passes in all four years while reaching the 1,000-yard mark twice. Landry is a strong WR2 in PPR leagues, and one that could get a boost if he leaves Miami.
