Steelers Likely To Tab Randy Fichtner As New Offensive Coordinator
7 years agoThe Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers are expecting to name Randy Fichtner as their new offensive coordinator, pending final approval of his contract. Fichtner has been a part of head coach Mike Tomlin's staff since the latter was hired to lead the Steelers back in 2007, serving as the team's quarterbacks coach for the past eight seasons. The Steelers allowed former offensive coordinator Todd Haley to leave after his contract expired at the end of this past season. Fichtner will help keep continuity with the team, as he has worked closely with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger over the years.
