Steve Sarkisian Being Retained By Falcons
7 years agoAs expected, Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said that offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian will be retained for the 2018 season. In Sarkisian's first year replacing Kyle Shanahan, the Falcons offense took a step backwards. They ranked eighth in yards per game (364.8) but were 15th in points per game (22.1), and quarterback Matt Ryan took a step back from his MVP season in 2016. The good news is Atlanta's offense should return largely intact, and they still have one of the best receivers in the game in Julio Jones. With continuity, Atlanta could easily realize its full potential next year and improve in a lot of categories.
