NFC Championship Game Will Haunt Case Keenum
7 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum completed 28 of 48 passes for 271 yards, but three turnovers doomed the Vikings as they were routed by the Eagles 38-7. Keenum and the Vikings tore through the Eagles on the opening drive, punctuated by a 22-yard pass to tight end Kyle Rudolph for a touchdown. But Keenum on the next drive was hit in the backfield, forcing a wobbly throw that turned into a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown by the Eagles. He brought the Vikings into the red zone again later in the first half but was strip-sacked and lost the football. He threw another interception late as the Vikings were simply blown out by the better Eagles team. It was a career season for Keenum, and he certainly will be looking at a pay increase in the offseason from the Vikings or some other team.
