Yu Darvish Has Five-Year Offer On The Table
7 years agoFree-agent starting pitcher Yu Darvish has at least one five-year offer on the table from an undisclosed team, according to a source. The Cubs, Twins, Rangers, Dodgers and Brewers are all believed to be interested in signing Darvish. While the Japanese right-hander struggled against the Astros in the World Series, he remains the best starter on the free-agent market, but things have been extra slow to develop. In 31 starts between the Rangers and Dodgers last year, Darvish went 10-12 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 209 strikeouts in 186 2/3 innings. He'll remain one of the better fantasy option next year, but his overall value could hinge on where he lands in free agency.
