7 years agoNew York Jets impending free-agent quarterback Josh McCown, who will be 39 in 2018, said he wants to continue playing. He said he'd also like to return to the Jets. "Right now, that's how it's looking," McCown said when asked if he 100 percent wants to play. "At this time of the year, I go through those conversations with my family, talk with them through that, pray through that." In 13 games for the Jets, McCown set career highs in completion percentage (67.3), passing yards (2,926), passing touchdowns (18) and rushing touchdowns (five). After breaking his hand late in the season, McCown said he is "healing up" and is a "few weeks away" from being 100 percent. The Jets brass is also interested in re-signing McCown, as he'd be a great mentor and bridge quarterback if Gang Green selects another QB early in this year's draft. Even after McCown played well above expectations in 2017, if he's re-signed and opens the 2018 season as the starter again, he won't be very attractive to fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
