7 years agoThe Minnesota Twins are in the mix for free-agent starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez, according to sources. The Twins are getting desperate for arms for their rotation with Ervin Santana set to begin the year on the disabled list after losing out on Yu Darvish. Sanchez, 34 later this month, is a veteran arm, but he posted a dreadful 6.41 ERA and 1.59 WHIP while striking out 104 in 105 1/3 innings over 28 outings (17 starts) for the Tigers in 2017. He was so bad that Detroit even sent him to the minors for a bit. Sanchez would likely be a temporary starting solution for the Twins, and he's best avoided in fantasy leagues if he's starting somewhere this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
