7 years agoSeveral reports have linked free-agent right-hander Lance Lynn to the Minnesota Twins. Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports suggests that the Twins have some interest in Lynn, who is one of the top free-agent pitchers remaining on the market. Lynn is coming off somewhat of a down year by his standards. While he was able to post an 11-8 record, he posted the lowest strikeouts per nine innings of his career (7.39) while also walking more batters per nine innings (3.77) than he ever had before. Lynn finished the 2017 season with a solid 3.43 ERA, but his 4.85 SIERA suggests he didn't pitch as well as his ERA would indicate. The Twins do have some flexibility in their payroll, although Lynn's asking price would have to come down some for him to be a fit with the team. Lynn would be slotted in as the team's No. 4 starter after Jose Berrios, Ervin Santana and newly-acquired Jake Odorizzi.--Matt T - RotoBaller
