Marco Hernandez Experiencing More Pain
7 years agoAccording to Jen McCaffrey, Boston Red Sox infielder Marco Hernandez (shoulder) had to return to Boston due to discomfort in his left shoulder. Doctors determined Hernandez needed to have the pins removed that were inserted into his shoulder last May. "He was doing everything fine and he felt weak or he was sore and it was taking longer than usual and at the stage it wasn't supposed to be that way," manager Alex Cora explained. "We flew him up there and they decided to do it." Cora said there was no specific timetable for Hernandez's return. He will return when he is pain-free. Whenever Hernandez returns, he will likely return to Triple-A.
