7 years agoSan Diego Padres manager Andy Green is challenging outfielder Manuel Margot to improve his on-base percentage, score 100 runs and win a Gold Glove in 2018. A warm and fuzzy piece by Bryce Miller highlights Margot's simple upbringing and positive clubhouse energy. Green's benchmark is ambitious but fitting for the unquestioned leadoff man and center fielder for the Pads. While Margot only scored 53 runs with a .313 OBP last season, he showed the speed and defensive prowess that made him a top prospect. Margot's 13 home runs last year were a positive surprise. Further development this year could see him pushing 20 homers and 20 steals and testing that 100-run target. His current 146 ADP appears a fair risk/reward for a player expected to take an important leap forward.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
