7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Steven Souza Jr. is committed to certain goals in his first season with the team, according to Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona. Continuing a method he first used in 2017, Souza will write down his goals that he hopes to achieve this season and stash them to review once the season ends. While he did not expose the details, Souza did mention he is focused on the categories of average, home runs and stolen bases. Souza was able to hit 30 homers, steal 16 bases and post a .239 average. Souza will likely find his end-of-season homers in the 20s due to the humidor. The hope is that Souza can maintain his double-digit stolen bases while finding a way to improve his average. Writing down his goals is a stronger method of dedication to its accomplishment. From the start, Souza is showing he is devoted to a successful season in Arizona.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
