Pat Shurmur Has Confidence In Eli Manning
7 years agoNew York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said that quarterback Eli Manning has "years" left as a starter in the NFL. Manning was a failure in 2017, posting under 4,000 yards passing for the first time since 2013, and he had 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 15 games. However, it didn't help that his top two receivers -- Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall -- suffered season-ending ankle injuries early in the year. With a better offensive line and running game and healthy receivers, Manning should post better numbers, although he's still probably only in QB2 territory for fantasy owners at age 37.
