7 years agoAfter both players missed 2017 recovering from Tommy John Surgery, San Diego Padres starting pitchers Robbie Erlin (elbow) and Colin Rea (elbow) returned to live action in a "B" game on Thursday. They each pitched two innings and struck out a pair. Erlin and Rea are two of eight Padres pitchers battling for three rotation spots and could also ultimately contribute from the bullpen. Both have been mediocre in their limited major league experience. Erlin's resume includes a 4.54 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 6.6 K/9 in 25 career starts. Also with 25 starts, Rea has logged a 4.69 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 7.1 K/9.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
