7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers catcher Stephen Vogt (shoulder) is hoping to serve as the designated hitter in Cactus League action this week if his shoulder calms down. He could start some light throwing on Tuesday, and both he and manager Craig Counsell think he has plenty of time to get ready for Opening Day. Vogt was an All-Star the last two years, but he struggled big time in his time with Milwaukee last year, hitting just .233 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI in 99 games. The shoulder injury won't help his chances of beating out Jett Bandy for the backup job to Manny Pina. With little playing time coming his way in 2018, Vogt's fantasy value has taken a nosedive.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
