7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taijuan Walker struck out four in three hitless innings against the Cubs. Walker also threw 27 of his 36 pitches for strikes. "I just attacked with the fastball," said Walker. "I think I threw all fastballs in the first inning. That's kind of been the game plan, getting that fastball command down and feeling comfortable with it." It is great that Walker continues to work on refining his skills. The strict fastball plan likely will not work in the regular season, so hopefully he works on the rest of his pitches in the coming games.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
