Amed Rosario Doing Base Running Drills
7 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario has been dealing with left knee irritation, but seems to be well on his way to making it back. On Monday, Rosario was out for base-running drills, but wasn’t running just yet. Rosario first suffered the ailment after being hit by a pitch on Saturday and scoring thereafter, feeling something “weird” in his knee after rounding the bases. According to Mets manager Mickey Callaway, Rosario said he could have kept on playing, but the team didn’t want to risk anything. It was probably a smart move for a guy who topped some people’s prospect lists about a year ago. Rosario should be back in the lineup soon.
