Noah Syndergaard Strikes Out Seven Straight Nationals
7 years agoAs if you needed any more of a reason to believe New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard was fully recovered from the lat injury he suffered last season, Thursday’s Grapefruit League start against the Washington Nationals should be the icing on the cake. Thor threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings and at one point struck out seven straight Nationals. That included shortstop Trea Turner, outfielder Bryce Harper and third baseman Anthony Rendon consecutively on nine combined pitches. Syndergaard is looking better than ever and looks to be one of the prime candidates for the National League Cy Young award in 2018 if he can stay healthy.
