Amed Rosario Returning On Friday
7 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario has been out for nearly a week after experiencing knee and groin soreness, but he’ll be back in the lineup on Friday. Rosario is tentatively scheduled to serve as the designated hitter on Friday and will put the glove back on at shortstop on Saturday. The Mets are understandably taking it slow with their prized prospect, but with Opening Day coming up fast, they can’t afford to have him miss that much time. Rosario still has a ways to go with his bat but is a wizard defensively. In the event Rosario misses time, the team would take a massive hit in the field with Jose Reyes at short manning the middle of the infield alongside second baseman and fellow statue Asdrubal Cabrera.
