No Timeline For Steve Pearce's Return
7 years agoToronto Blue Jays utilityman Steve Pearce has been suffering from a calf strain this spring, and while he’s feeling better, there isn’t a timeline as for when he might get back on the field. For a good portion of the offseason, it looked as though Pearce might just have a starting role in Toronto’s outfield – then the Blue Jays went out and acquired outfielders Curtis Granderson and Randal Grichuk. So for now, when Pearce does return, he’ll slide back into his normal utility role with time spent at first base, left field, and designated hitter. Pearce isn’t worth a draft pick in any format, but makes for the occasional solid start in DFS leagues.
