A.J. Puk's Solid Game Adds To Opening Day Intrigue
7 years agoOakland Athletics top pitching prospect A.J. Puk had a very good spring training game Friday against the Brewers. He pitched three clean innings and struck out two but also gave away two free passes. John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reported that when asked if Puk would be on the season-opening roster, manager Bob Melvin said, "Who knows." It appears the manager is not ruling out the possibility, particularly given that the Athletics starting rotation might have a spot open for competition. Puk should be owned in all dynasty leagues. Check your league to make sure.
