7 years agoHouston Astros catcher Brian McCann is still looking for his first hit through 14 spring at-bats. This shouldn't set off too many alarms for the veteran catcher with 263 career home runs, but it is reasonable to ask how much the 34-year-old has left in the tank. He failed to hit more than 20 home runs last season for the first time since 2007 and is no longer an everyday catcher. He missed time in 2017 with a concussion and the Astros are cautious when it comes to monitoring the workload on his knees. McCann provides power at a position in fantasy that is pretty thin, but not much can be expected from him other than that. His slow start and diminishing skills knock McCann out of the top 10 among catchers heading towards fantasy drafts.--Joey C - RotoBaller
