Jose Abreu Off To A Slow Start This Spring
7 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu has come out of the gate cold so far in spring training. Over his first 28 at-bats, the slugger has only five hits. The good news is that three of his five hits have gone for extra bases and he has scored six runs. There isn't much to read into his slow start, as he has consistently been one of the more underrated hitters over the past four years. Abreu should be fine entering 2018 and should be able to match his career batting average of .301 with around 30 home runs and 100 RBI. Abreu shouldn't last past the third round in 10-team leagues.
