7 years agoCalgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano scored his third goal in the last four games on Sunday against the Islanders to make it 13 goals for the season. The Flames captain now needs just two more goals to share the league's top goal-scoring honor among defensemen with teammate Dougie Hamilton and P.K. Subban. Giordano already has more goals than he did in the entire 2016-17 campaign (12) and he's close to surpassing last year's points tally (39) as well, sitting currently on 36. Calgary hosts the fourth Battle of Alberta of the season on Tuesday, with Giordano looking to score in back-to-back games against the Oilers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
