7 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals are expected to release running back Adrian Peterson on Monday, according to a source. He has a $750,000 bonus due on the third day of the league year on Friday, and Arizona is looking to save money. According to a source, the Cardinals could re-sign Peterson, however. Peterson did next to nothing to begin the year with the Saints and wasn't much better in six games in the desert, rushing 129 times for 448 yards (3.5 yards per carry) and two scores. Peterson had his day as the best running back in the NFL with the Vikings, but he's fallen on hard times and is unlikely to be very attractive on the free-agent market.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
