7 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Josh Bellamy was tendered a $1.9 million contract by the team on Monday. The restricted free agent is a solid special teams player and saw a career high in snaps played on offense in 2017. The Bears receiving corps was one of the worst in the league last year due to injuries, ineffectiveness and simple lack of talent. Bellamy has the speed to make plays down the field, but drops have plagued his progression on offense. The Bears are certain to bring in several new receivers via free agency, trade and the draft, making this signing more of a special teams move than anything else.--Joey C - RotoBaller
