7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jharel Cotton (elbow) is getting a second opinion in Dallas on Friday, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Cotton says he remains optimistic he will get good news, as he feels his elbow has full strength. Cotton was removed from his start on Monday and an MRI revealed on Thursday a strained UCL and flexor tendon. We await any news from the second opinion that should be announced Friday, and then a decision by Cotton if surgery is necessary.
