7 years agoBoston Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel is still in Boston with his daughter Lydia, according to Alex Speier of The Boston Globe. Manager Alex Cora is very supportive of the family and stated, "That’s about Lydia. ... They’ll make a decision as a family." Kimbrel has been away from camp since Feb. 27. He did throw live batting practice in the Boston area Thursday. Kimbrel told trainers that his arm feels stronger than it has in other springs. He is one to keep an eye on once the season starts, as Kimbrel has not had the customary buildup that he normally does. He is still one of the top relief pitchers in baseball, but he may struggle early.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
