Mike Tauchman Making Serious Case For Spot On Roster
7 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Mike Tauchman is making a serious case for a spot on the 25-man roster this year. Tauchman has had a solid spring so far, slashing .327/.404/.571 with one home run, eight runs, five RBI and three stolen bases. His versatility as a player who can play great defense while providing speed and the ability to come up with a big hit might earn him a spot on the roster, as Rockies manager Bud Black gave him accolades for his versatility. While Tauchman does not have the power that outfielder David Dahl has, there is still a chance he could start off the bench. There are much more valuable outfielders to own on the Rockies, but Tauchman will be a name to keep an eye on this year.
