Ervin Santana Still Not Cleared To Throw
7 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Ervin Santana (finger) has still not been cleared to throw a baseball. Santana had surgery on the middle finger of his throwing hand in February and is still in the process of working his way back to the field. According to reports, the swelling has gone down on his knuckle, but doctors still haven't cleared him to grip a baseball. Santana's original timetable for a return to the mound was late April or early May, but his response when asked about returning was, “I don’t know. They didn’t say a specific time, but for me I just want to come back when everything is 100 percent. I don’t want to rush anything.” Santana is shaping up as a risky asset in fantasy this year.
