7 years agoAfter a few days of speculation, the Pittsburgh Pirates all but made their eight-man bullpen official on Monday. In addition to sending first baseman Jose Osuna to Triple-A, the team also optioned reliever Kyle Crick and reassigned reliever Kevin Siegrist to minor league camp. Pittsburgh also placed Rule 5 pick Jordan Milbrath and Jack Leathersich on waivers. That means the bullpen should consist of Felipe Rivero, Michael Feliz, George Kontos, Steven Brault, Tyler Glasnow, Josh Smoker, Edgar Santana and Dovydas Neverauskas. MLB.com's Adam Berry also notes that Siegrist could ultimately join the roster if another team tries to add him to its major league roster. Rivero is a top-10 fantasy closer, while setup man Feliz and long reliever Glasnow could be worth roster spots for their strikeouts.--Matt Wilkes
