Adrian Beltre Looks To A Healthy 2018
7 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre finished the spring with .323/.333/.355 slash line in 31 at-bats with no home runs. While the counting stats leave little to be desired, there's almost no concern that the veteran will return to his productive ways now that he's returned to full health. Beltre is an impressive specimen, even more impressive knowing that he'll spend most of the season at age 39. Nothing from the spring foreshadows a loss of ability from the third baseman, and the fact that he's willing to serve as the designated hitter more in 2018 should protect him from injury and thus give owners encouragement. Beltre is an elite hitter, plain and simple.
