7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Jonathan Villar went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and was eventually replaced by Eric Sogard defensively in the seventh inning against the San Diego Padres. This is not the start that the Brewers were looking for from Villar, as many were projecting Sogard to start at second. After a disappointing 2017 season where Villar hit .241 and had a dreadful .665 OPS, this is the last thing Villar needed to start 2018. Expect Sogard to start at second base for Friday's game.--Caden Inaba
