7 years agoSeattle Mariners injured starter Hisashi Iwakuma (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session this weekend, per MLB.com. Iwakuma is recovering from shoulder surgery and missed most of last season. If the session goes well, Iwakuma is expected to pitch for the Mariners Triple-A team and begin his own version of spring training. Getting any kind of production from Iwakuma this season would be a plus for the Mariners, so they will be cautious in evaluating his return to the big leagues.
