7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Jonathan Villar will sit out on Friday against the San Diego Padres. After striking out two times in three at-bats and eventually being replaced by Eric Sogard, it appears Brewers manager Craig Counsell was not impressed with Villar's game Thursday night. The team is also facing a left-handed pitcher Friday. Hernan Perez will take Villar's place in the lineup and will hit seventh in the order. Villar has the stolen base factor when he does get into games, however, there is a lot of variability with the Brewers infield, so he's not going to be a consistent starter. If you need speed, Villar is nice to hold onto as a utility guy, but don't expect him to be your starting second baseman in fantasy.--Caden Inaba
