7 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett had a big day at the plate against the Washington Nationals on Opening Day, going 4-for-4 with a double. While it wasn't quite a four-homer game such as he posted in the 2017 season, Gennett did the majority of his damage against Nationals ace and reigning Cy Young winner Max Scherzer, which is almost as impressive. Gennett was the lone bright spot for the Cincinnati offense, which was shut out and only managed seven hits, six of which were singles. Gennett will look to stay hot on Saturday against Stephen Strasburg on Saturday.--Matt T - RotoBaller
