Xander Bogaerts' Offensive Explosion Continues
7 years agoBoston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts continues his offensive dominance in his third straight game. He went 3-for-4 with one homer and two RBIs. He also added yet another double to his season total (5). This is a new performance that most had not expected with Bogaerts after he hit .273 with 10 HRs in 2017. This newfound power stroke could be the result of two reasons. The first is that new manager Alex Cora has preached aggressiveness at the plate. The other is that Bogaerts is fully healthy from his wrist injury that slowed him down in 2017. The discounted buying window for Bogaerts is officially closed.
