7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates right-hander Joe Musgrove (shoulder) will make his first start of the season on Thursday against the Cincinnati Reds. Musgrove pitched in a minor league game on Saturday, so this will keep him on regular rest. He dominated out of the bullpen for the Houston Astros last year, and Pittsburgh is hoping he can translate that success to their starting rotation after acquiring him in the Gerrit Cole deal. He's had a few hiccups as a starter in the past, but he's worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues as a decent source of strikeouts.--Matt Wilkes
