7 years agoHouston Astros pitcher Gerrit Cole dominated Rangers hitters on Sunday, striking out 11 while allowing only two hits in seven innings in the Astros 8-2 win. Cole was pumping 97 MPH fastballs consistently and looked impressive throughout his 102 pitches. Cole flashed dominant stuff featured in past seasons, including striking out the side in impressive fashion in the fifth inning. It's only one start but Cole is proving to be everything that was advertised after being acquired from the Pirates. Cole could be a fantasy bargain as the season begins to play out.--Joey C - RotoBaller
