Dee Gordon's Home Run Puts Mariners Up For Good
7 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Dee Gordon homered to right field in the seventh inning , putting the Mariners up for good en route to a 5-4 win over the Indians. Gordon is not known for his power but got a hold of one to put the Mariners up 3-2 at the time. Gordon now has hits in each of the first three games this season and has fulfilled his role as the new leadoff hitter admirably to this point. Gordon has top-end speed and should certainly help the top of Seattle's lineup that struggled at times offensively last season. Gordon should not be expected to put up huge power numbers but certainly is a candidate to score 90-100 runs with 30-plus stolen bases this season.
