7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte went 2-for-7 with his first home run and stolen base of the season in a doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. Power has been largely absent from Marte's game the last two years after a career-best 19 home runs in 2015, so Sunday was hopefully a sign of things to come. He also mashed three homers in spring training, but it's encouraging to see the pop show up against better competition. Everyone knows about Marte's speed, but a return to 15-20 home run power makes him an elite fantasy outfielder.--Matt Wilkes
