Trevor Williams Throws Six No-Hit Innings
7 years agoAlthough he walked five batters and struck out just one, Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander Trevor Williams tossed six innings of no-hit baseball against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday en route to his win of the season. Williams was pulled from the game after 85 pitches, and Michael Feliz coughed up the no-hitter with one out in the seventh inning, but the bullpen held strong and secured the 1-0 win. Williams is coming off a solid 2017 (4.07 ERA, 4.49 xFIP), but he's a low-strikeout pitcher and has only average control, which doesn't make him a strong fantasy option outside of NL-only leagues.
