7 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Ben Gamel (oblique) will take part in a simulated game, per MLB.com. Gamel is slightly ahead of schedule in recovering from his oblique injury and could be only a few weeks away from returning. When he returns, Gamel should see plenty of at-bats in the Mariners outfield rotation. In the interim, expect 44-year-old Ichiro Suzuki to get plenty of run until Gamel is ready to return. Gamel's next step in his rehab will be taking at-bats in the minor leagues, but oblique injuries can be tricky, so stay tuned on his recovery.--Joey C - RotoBaller
