7 years agoMaking his return to the lineup after sitting out Saturday with tightness in his back, Padres outfielder Wil Myers crushed a solo home run to center field on the first pitch he saw before leaving the game in the sixth inning. Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Myers is dealing with an "elbow problem" that he first felt during batting practice before the game. Acee also reports that X-rays have shown no structural damage in Myers' elbow. There's no word yet as to whether Myers will end up on the disabled list or not, so for now he should be considered day-to-day. With that being said, Myers will probably not be in the lineup Tuesday night against the Rockies, with Hunter Renfroe being the likely candidate to get the start in right field.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
