7 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Paul Blackburn (forearm) is still feeling tightness in his forearm. Manager Bob Melvin stated Blackburn isn't progressing as quickly as hoped, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Another MRI showed no structural issues. Blackburn was pulled in the third inning of a preseason game on March 21. This is bad news and there is no alternative but to wait.
